This weekend I played in a hockey tournament in Wenatchee.  Some friends organized it and called it the IronMan Hockey Tournament.  There were only 5 players plus a goalie on each team (instead of the usual 10+), and the games consisted of two 12 minute periods.  No subs, and the only faceoffs were at the beginning of each period.  It was exhausting and an absolute BLAST!!!  I'm currently trying to talk the organizers into using the concept to do a league this summer!  My husband and I usually try to play on different teams when we are in a coed tournament together, as it saves us money on babysitting. Our teams did play each other once though, so we brought the boys to the rink and corralled them in one of the penalty boxes during the game.  My friends thought this was really funny!
